I didn't know that there were so many brass mandrels. Can you enlighten me of 
these brass mandrels and when they were used?

Are you asking about the solid brass mandrel, the hollow unplated brass 
mandrel, the plated thick wall brass mandrel, or the thin drawn brass nickel 
plated mandrel?
