Simply incredible! There is also a link to actually hear this recording which is most likely the last time Edison was recorded. Simply amazing! My hat's off to those dedicated GE engineers who not only invented this recording process but especially to those who spent countless hours and expense to bring it back to life with the "Gizmotron". Sincerely, Rick A. Jorgensen Golden Era Automobile Association _http://www.geaaonline.org_ (_http://www.geaaonline.org/_ (http://www.geaaonline.org/) ) You guys may want to check the thread on the 78-L newsgroup where Mike Biel points out this wasn't just discovered. There has been a copy of the audio at the Edison site for YEARS. In fact this speech is on the now - rare "Edison Speaks" Lp that Mike produced in the late 1970s for Mark 56 Records. These GE engineers spent a lot of time digging for a sound that we have been listening to for years!
