Reading all the posts about the CAPS show reminded me that at least quite a few of you are in the LA area. While I've been to both Santa Barbara and, most recently, San Francisco - both for ARSC Conferences, I haven't been to LA in about 25 years! But I'm coming out in mid-October for the ARSC Board meeting (The ARSC Conference will be in LA in May 2011) and decided to extend my stay through that week. I have relatives in Woodland Hills suburbs who I hoped to stay with but that may not work out. And it would be fun to meet some collectors I've never met - or revisit others - so I thought I'd post this call for ideas. I want to do the tourist thing too but if the logistics work, I'd like to see some collectors as well. I should have a rental car to get me around but I know that LA area is large and congested. I have tentative plans to visit with some friends in Alhambra but other than that, no other plans now. So, if you are in that area and can help me plan some activities - both phono and other - and offer some good suggestions on cheap, clean and safe accommodations, please drop me a note at StevenrammATaolDOTcom (not this one which I use for Phono-L).
