Peter,

I respectfully suggest we stay on topic with regard to the list i.e. phonographs. Your political opionions are not necessarily those shared by all. By the way, my IQ was measured at 123.

Former drive time shock jock Beck is far more than "a bit nuts" - he's a racist fanatic, dangerously bent on tearing down our government.

But as they say, any publicity is good publicity, so I guess it's nice he showed his fans a nice old phono...not that many of them have the IQ to comprehend it.

The lightbulb comment sounds like just another poke at the government, though. What would TAE's take on energy efficiency and global warming have been, I wonder? Bet he would have jumped right in to work on halting it, but then we'd have to call him a commie.

I watch him only occasionally, because he's a bit nuts, but often has
some good "stuff." Today he gave a big talk on American innovation, how we should continue, using Edison as an example. He told how Edison's workshop/factory burned down, how he had temp quarters set up, and how he had it rebuilt at the age of...67.
He showed a phonograph, among other things. Said that Edison's
incandescent bulb was soon to be discontinued in production by govt order, which I assume is because they are not energy-efficient...GB did not spell it out.
