Andy, Thanks for the heads up on this topic. As a result of your info, I was able to get reimbursed under eBay's Buyer Protection Plan and post a negative feedback to warn others about the buyer. At Vonage's suggestion, I bought a used Vonage router (my previous Vonage Linksys router failed) on eBay. The seller claimed it was only 6 months old... When I tried to use it, Vonage told me there was an outstanding balance on the account associated with that router so it was not a valid Vonage product. The buyer agreed to take it back and offered a product only refund, no freight. After repeatedly asking for the promised refund, the buyer later claimed he never received it back, contrary to the receipt I got from the Post Office. I submitted the info to PayPal, they wanted to negotiate. I said I wanted the full refund including freight charges. PayPal ruled in my favor saying nobody was at fault and the transaction was cancelled. I immediately posted the negative feedback before getting PayPal's cancellation notice. So if you act quickly before PayPal/eBay sweep it away, perhaps we can help others by posting negative feedback when deserved.
