If the cabinet did not come from the Edison cabinet shop as was stated
the cabinet and mechanism and its associated ID tag number will not
match the cabinet number. That is to be expected. For whatever reason
there are some Edison cabinet shop cabinets that do not match the
mech/ID tag Sn. Who really knows why.
