My MG-B which I bought in London in 1965 was a blast to drive and I could tune the thing. Then I drove it across the U.S. while it was still new and it didn't make it past Chicago when the electric fuel pump (Lucas, of course) failed. By the time I reached Denver the valves needed work! Not a great engine but when it was working, I loved it. But more quirkey than that is my current 1965 Morgan Plus-4. That is more like an old phonograph. Slotted wood screws hold the floor boards on and to grease the front end you have to step on a button on the floor to send oil from the crankcase to the front end every 1500 miles. Now that's cool! No wonder there's a puddle of oil on the garage floor at all times! And the carburetors are Strombergs. Must be related to Stromberg-Carlson--right? And the steering wheel--I think it was made by Zonophone.
