eBay would rather you used PayPal, so they get a cut of the payment, but they 
can't forbid local pickup for cash and there would be a huge outcry if they 
tried.  If you are concerned about a stranger coming to your house, set the 
exchange up in a public place such as a restaurant or your place of work.  I 
can't imagine any other problem (and in fact I just met a buyer today, who came 
to my office building, and paid me $1,600 in cash for the two items he won).
