The Outreach Committee of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) posts the following message.
--- SAVE THE DATES: 2012 ARSC CONFERENCE, ROCHESTER, NEW YORK --- The 46th annual ARSC Conference will be held at the Rochester Riverside Radisson in the heart of downtown Rochester, New York, May 16-19, 2012. The Eastman School of Music will host the conference. The Rochester Riverside Radisson is located on the bank of the Genesee River, and is a short walk from the Eastman School of Music. Nearby attractions include the George Eastman House, Rochester Museum and Science Center, Strong National Museum of Play, Seneca Park Zoo, Downstairs Cabaret Theater, Frontier Field (Red Wings baseball), and Blue Cross Arena. Rochester is 20 minutes from the Finger Lakes Wine region and an hour from Niagara Falls. The pre-conference workshop, "Copyright and Sound Recordings," providing an in-depth look at copyright and related issues for sound recordings, will be held on May 16, 2012.
