Phono Folks:
thanks for the info regarding my inquiry about obtaining Frow books. I sent on all of your feedback and I think my friend has what he needs. Again, thanks On another note: I bought a phono related item today at an "antique" shop and wonder if anyone has any information about it. I found a "phono Desk" made from the Daisy Furniture Co." located in MN. I don't have any pics at the moment. It is kind of interesting and I want to restore it back to a phonograph. It is a small writing desk and in the center has a pullout board which serves as a writing surface. a couple of "pidgin holes and won with a drawer. a larger drawer is beneath the writing board. Now for the cool stuff: on the left of the piano looking writing desk is a record storage area beneath the lid which lifts up. on the right is the area which housed the phonograph. It still has the needle receptacles in front. 2 on the right and 1 on the left. the chamber which held the phonograph mechanism, is aprx. 12.5 (left to right) and 18.5 deep (front to back. The crank hole center is 3.5' from the floor of the chamber to the center of the crank hole. the desk has what is similar to "queen Ann" style legs. Over all it must be about 48' wide and 18' deep. I realize to you folks pics work however, I don't have any. Again, thanks for the response and "nothing" like a little imaging challenge. *grin* later Bob _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.org
