Hello to all,
I will sell the From Tin Foil to Stereo for $9.99 plus shipping. I need to
make space and that is less than half of what I paid for it.
I am also reducing my reproducer collection, right now I have a Model C I
rebuilt for $99 plus shipping.
Photos are available if anyone is interested, if not I go to eBay.
Replacing gaskets is not a rebuild, you have to restore mechanic freedom. With
Edison unless there is an air leak replacing gaskets does not make a big
difference. With Victor mica reproducers the mica has to have a nice ring and
the gaskets must be soft. The same with copper a dull sounding diaphragm
produces poor sound. You get better sound if the needle bar is .003 away from
the mica before you install the screw.
All I sell if fully guaranteed which includes shipping both ways.
I rotate the stylus on the sapphire reproducers, make sure the stylus bar and
hinge block moves freely and replace the diaphragm if necessary.
The C top is nice and shiny, the weight is not quite as nice as the top but are
both nice. A number of C and H reproducers I rebuilt sold on eBay for $115 to
$125, in order to save us both I am offering to the list first.
Steve
