Yikes. Well, I did once pay 9% of this ($600) for an Edison Standard B,
but it came with a flowered horn, floor stand and about 600 black wax
cylinders in 7 carrying cases - all instrumental selections, amazingly.
Somebody didn't like the sound of singing via phonograph !

Has anybody bought the $6,666.66 Edison Standard B in China yet? Listing #
140750878007 . What is really funny is the way the YouTube video shows
the guy attempting to get the machine to play. I suspect the people who
put listings like this are really hoping for one of the suckers born every
minute as P.T. Barnum pointed out. If it sells I'm putting up for a mere
$5,000 a Home B with Edison's signature on it, IN GOLD...
Almost forgot, this machine is listed as a Mother's Day present. I know
what my wife would do if I bought her an Edison Phonograph for Mother's
Day, and it wouldn't be pretty!
Regards to all,
Al
