Bob,

Thank you so much for your story.

It's really cool to have mentors and people that are willing to be helpful and
educate the rest of us not as advance or just in sharing information.

I have several people I have thanks for through out the years I have enjoyed
collecting.  If it was not for them helping and providing me information I
would never be where I am in collecting.  The learning has not stopped for me
and right now I am learning so much from Steve Medved, Thank you.  And if it
was not for  Joan $ Robin Rolfs along with Bob Coon introducing me to
collecting I would have never started and found a stable and long lasting love
for Phonographs.  I even have the first Columbia Q that I found in a garage
sale for $15 dollars.  I really didn't know what I had but had a hunch at what
it might be.  I took it to the antique mall in Wisconsin where Joan and Robin
have a booth and that started close to 2 decades to now and takes me back to my
mid 20's plus the introduction to Collecting Clubs and Societies.  I have made
several friends sence then.  Maybe not in touch as I would like but I know I
can always go to them for
help and information.  It's an aspect of my life that I am very proud to have
and a fond affection for it.

Thanks again for sharing and Happy Collecting,
Kenneth Keeton

Phono folks:

While setting at the dinner table in Montana tonight, I was listening to
NPr, which made a reference to Milan Ohio. They were talking about
restoration of vintage cars.

I said, Milan Ohio, why do I know that? Then, yes! Don Gfell. Then Don's
voice from "sights & sounds  Of Edison" Yes its Don

Just a little story that came around in an odway however, Don still is a
great ambassador for us phono folk, whom I have a lot of gratitude for the
time & phone conversations we had many years ago, when I was learning about
phonos!

Thanks Don for your enthusiasm.

Later

Bob
