It is typically very hard to find slotted replacement setscrews for early
equipment. A lot of times the threads are an old standard, which might not be
commonly used today and modern slotted ones are difficult to find as well. So,
if a magnet won't retrieve it and you are unable to find a replacement, you
can, for a last resort - find a similar size slotted set screw and rethread the
hole to a modern thread size. It might be easier to find a machine screw of the
same size or a setscrew with a socket head, which will work also. However, you
then have to cut the head off and make a screwdriver slot with a Dremel.
