Years ago, I found a XII in an abandoned building that no longer had a roof.
The cabinet was completely disintegrated but I did salvage the metal parts.
This was in the late 1960s when I didn't know other collectors and parts
were hard to come by.   I used a governor spring from that motor to save an
otherwise complete P1.    I still have that machine as well as the arm horn
and back bracket from the XII.

The casting of the XII is totally unique to that model but aren't some of
the components like the spring barrels and governor common with other motors
of the same period?  If you found a good motor casting, could you build a
