Hello Al, Welcome back and thanks so very much. Angelo has a Gem that I
believe the serial number is 42,000. Both the case and the carriage is missing
so I will let him know it is not the branded case Gem. I really appreciate
the information you sent me and I will save it. When you are rested we can
discuss when the centering pin appeared on the Edison small carriage, I have an
idea. From George Paul I discovered there was a several month gap when the
machines were made and when they were shipped. Thanks again, Steve
