On Friday, June 13, early buyers can find their treasures as dealers set-up. It is the largest show in the USA. The Antique Phonograph Society (APS) (formally MAPS & CAPS) invites you to an exciting meeting of APS. DATE: Friday, June 13 TIME: 5:00 p.m. Movie: Talking Furniture - 25th Anniversary Screening. Introduction by film maker and Academy Award-winning sound mixer, Mark Ulano 6:30 p.m. Presentation: Chicago and the Talking Machine Between the World' Fairs: 1893-1933 George Glastris - historian, collector Antiques Roadshow appraiser, and Chicago denizen - describes how the windy city was a critical hub for the phonograph during its first 40 years of commercial growth.
