Today, we have one of those items that hardly comes available. It is a Drip
Pan Gem. To add to the allure, this is absolutely the nicest drip pan Gem I
have ever seen in 30 years of collecting. The paint is beautiful. The pen
striping is nearly 100%. The nickel is bright. It is a 100% original
machine that is definitely a collector grade of the highest order!

This is Edison's first model Gem. It is called a drip pan Gem by collectors
today as it has a metal drip pan under the motor. Edison did not produce a
case for this machine. It is as simple and elegant as you get. As well,
these are hard to find, almost impossible in this condition. It plays about
as well as most other drip pan Gems, which is only okay. The motor runs
smooth, everything is present and functional. The reproducer (unique to
this type of machine) has been rebuilt with the correct, French glass
diaphragm.

I can't express what a beautiful example this is of a very hard to find
machine. Check out the pictures and see if you agree! Even advanced
collectors keep these in their collections. They are one of the earliest
examples of Edison products being produced for a short time starting in
1899 (The home came out in 1898).

I have several pictures available that I can send directly to your email
address if you are interested.

The price is $1250.00 plus whatever it costs to ship to you fully insured.
