Would you consider an amputee VV 8-4? Amputee, you ask? Someone cut off
the legs to make it fit under a window. They put on casters to make it roll
easily. It ruined the look but may have improved the sound by getting the
horn closer to the floor.

Subject: [Phono-L] Looking for...

In the spirit of you-never-know, I figured I would put out to the group what
I am hoping to find one day. I would like to find a Victor VV 8-30, a later
Credenza. I realize most of my 78's are electrically recorded and my VV-Xa
just doesn't do them justice, hence the search. I like to tinker and can do
some repair work so it does not have to be pristine unit. If anyone has any
ideas or stumbles on one that just needs some TLC, please let me know. I'm
just outside NYC and don't mind a bit of an excursion if there's something
to check out vaguely in the area. I do plan go to the Wayne, NJ show in
April if there's a connection to be made there.

Thanks in advance for any hints or leads.

David
