When I got this, it had a one minor veneer chip and some minor loose veneer that is fully repaired, and hardly noticeable. I have cleaned and serviced this to make it ready for play. It has a strong reproducer with a good jewel. Very Nice Victor Victrola VI - $175.00 Here is a very nice, Victor Victrola VI ready to play all your 78’s. This machine was in excellent condition. When I got it, needing only cleaning. I’ve rebuilt the reproducer, and replaced the rubber flange. It has a strong spring and plays very well. These table-top Victrolas are great to have around to play records. FOR SALE: Super, hard-to-find Edison Recording Horn - $175.00 Here is something that you rarely see. It is an Edison recording horn. These horns were advertised in Edison Catalogs, but without a picture (I have an ad for this horn). They were meant for home recording and are very seldom found. This horn has a saw tooth hanger that allows for adjustment. It appears that this hanger may have been relocated forward at some point in time. This is not uncommon. FOR SALE: Excellent Hawthorn and Sheble Sturdy Crane - $200.00 Here is an early, heavy duty crane suitable for most any Edison or Columbia machine even the large Triumph! It is appears in many different catalogs, including the J.W. Jenkins’ Sons Music Company catalog from 1905 listed as No. 5. This one is in excellent condition retaining most of its original nickel. It is complete, and 100% original. FOR SALE: Excellent TCT Flower Horn - $250.00 Here is an outstanding example of a flowered horn for your cylinder phonograph. Produced by the Tea Tray Company, this horn is has a rich back background, with beautiful white mums. While flowered horns are not uncommon, this one, in mums (normally seen in roses), as well as the outstanding condition makes this a desirable find. FOR SALE: Nipper Flocked Bank - $135.00 Here is an excellent example of a Nipper flocked bank. In fact, this is the nicest example I have ever seen! When found, most times these have flocking that is heavily worn and missing. This one is beautiful. It retains the original tin plug on the bottom of the bank. FOR SALE: Victor 1000 Needle Tin - $150.00 Here is an very, very good example of a 1000 needle tin from Victor. These black needles tins with gold decoration are not at all common. It’s cool that they are painted and embossed, very fancy. To find one in very, very good condition, as this one is, fortunate. These make wonderful display items for your Victor or Victrola machine. FOR SALE: Victor Early Embossed Needle Tin - $35.00 Here is an very, nice example of an early embossed lid Victor needle tin. These are many times missing the nickel plating. While this one is worn, the plating is still pretty bright. These are early and would pair nicely with an early Victor machine. FOR SALE: Cleanrite Victor Brush - $65.00 In the early 1900’s, even more so than now, dust build up on records was a problem. There seemed to be no end to the ingenious solutions to this pesky problem. Here is the solution, a record brush. It is stamped on the side as the “Cleanrite.” It fits nicely on Victor machines. The box is in very good condition. These make nice additions to your Edison machine with a shaver. FOR SALE: Hard-To-Find Gutta Percha Recorder - $200.00 Here is a chance to pick up a recorder for an early Columbia Phonograph. Before they used aluminum in 1898, Columbia made their reproducers and recorders out of Gutta Percha, an early form of plastic. This one is in excellent condition, retaining a glass diaphragm and cutting stylus assembly. The glass cutting stylus itself is missing. It is guaranteed original. A wonderful item for complete your early Columbia N, A or other early machine. FOR SALE: Unusual TCT 14 Inch Black and Brass Horn - $150.00 Here is a chance to pick up a super nice 14 inch Black and Brass horn with a stamp you rarely see. For many years, the Tea Tray Company were the main supplier for both Edison and Columbia for this type of horn. They supplied the horn with no company identification, or just a simple patent date stamp. However, this example is special. It has a Tea Tray Company (TCT) stamp as well as a patent stamp to clearly identify this horn as being of Tea Tray Company manufacture. FOR SALE: Nice Japanned Floor Crane with J-Hook - $165.00 Here is a very nice and solid floor crane. This one was advertised in both Hawthorn and Sheble catalogs as well as Columbia catalogs at the turn of the century. It is unusual as it retains the original black japanning. Japanning was a lower cost finish than nickel plating, making this crane, referred to as the No. 1, an entry level crane. It is in very good condition with normal surface wear. All parts are original and functional and could hold small and large cranes alike. It retains the distinctive “J” hook that I think makes this a particularly handsome crane. FOR SALE: Nice Early Nickel Floor Crane - $185.00 Here is a very nice, early, and solid floor crane. You can tell this is an early one, as the top parts are fastened with thumb screws instead of being threaded, as in the later models. This is one not found very often. It is in very good condition with normal surface wear. All parts are original and functional and could hold small and large cranes alike. FOR SALE: Nice Heavy Duty Hawthorn and Sheble Floor Crane - $250.00 Here is an excellent example of a very desirable crane. It is a Hawthorn and Sheble floor crane. This is a substantial crane, able to hold the largest horns. It retains excellent nickel plating as well as all original parts. You could not ask for a nicer example of this desirable crane. All parts function well and it makes a stunning addition to your machine. FOR SALE: Nice Edison “latch” Crane for a Cylinder Phonograph - $175.00 Here is an nice example of a very desirable crane. These are hard to come by. It is a crane for an Edison Standard or Home phonograph that attached by way of the lid latch. Very ingenious! It works wonderfully and will hold medium-sized horns. I’ve had a 30” horn on one of these and it worked well. 24 and 18 work well too! It retains decent nickel plating with wear as well as all original parts. I’ve shown another crane of the same type installed on an Edison Home in one of the pictures. FOR SALE: Desirable Columbia Crank - $125.00 Here is a very nice and desirable Columbia crank. This crank would be correct on a Columbia AJ, AK, and A, and several of the other Columbia Cylinder and Disk machines. It is in excellent condition with normal surface wear to the nickel plating. The knob is original in good condition. FOR SALE: Unusual Tiz-It - $85.00 The Tiz-It has to be one of the most successful phonograph accessories of all time. If you peruse the many years of the Talking Machine World catalog, it is amazing the span of time and the number of occurrences within those years that the TIZ-IT is advertised And while the TIZ-IT is a more common phonograph attachment to find today, the one I am selling here is not. This TIZ-IT allows it to grip the horn so it cannot easily fall off. It is in immaculate condition and works extremely well. It bears the TIZ-IT brand name and highly-touted “ball.” Michael Shawn O'Rourke 248 915 0954
