Sorry, there was an error in my bug-Report.
There is no 4.0.8 ver. of PHP, of course!
But it works all fine with 4.0.6 on a Windows machine.

Can you try if it works with PHP4.2.0rc1 from www.php.net/~derick ?
(And where did you find php 4.0.8? That did never exist :)

BUG-Report:
preg_match("/^([abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz���� \-])+$/i",$input)
does not Match on "�hringen", or "dhdg�fdhh", but on "L�rrach".
I think it is a problem of case sensitivity.
Solutions:
use:preg_match("/^([abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz�������
\-])+$/i",$input[Ort])
or
install PHP 4.0.8 (no problems)
