Operating system: Linux
PHP version:      4.1.2
PHP Bug Type: PHP options/info functions
Bug description:  HTTP_*_VARS disappeared

I compiled the 4.1.2 now with the same conf script used for 4.0.6. Using
the same php.ini:
 register_globals = on
 track_vars = on
 variables_order = GPCS

SAPI: CGI.

The HTTP_*_VARS completely disappeared.

/This makes the upgrade impossible (large number of hosted sites), and
doesn't meet the documentation about new inport mechanism./

Did I miss something?
