Correcting my bugs description, the encoding that I used was ISO-8859-1 This is the recommended encoding for documents in Portuguese. Any other encoding makes xmldoc() return NULL when there are accents in the doc. With 'ISO-8859-1' document is parsed but accents become strange characters. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-21 11:49:37] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Accentuation support is not (correctly) implemented in DOM XML functions. I have used encoding=ISO-8891-1 in my XML docs with text in Portuguese. Document was parsed with xmldoc(), but accents appeared as strange characters. Removing the encoding=ISO-8891-1 part, xmldoc() returns NULL. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=16721&edit=1
