This bug has been fixed in CVS. You can grab a snapshot of the
CVS version at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation 
problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/.
In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show
up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites.

I tested it with MSACCESS and it works, but I will try to test it with
php4.2.1 and MDAC < 2.7

also on PHP4.1.2 this doesen't work anymore, it seems that the upgrade
to MSDAC2.7 caused this crash

Our resources regarding COM and win32 seem to be very low. Are you
create a debug build yourself and start debugging it?
