We are sorry, but can not support PHP 3 related problems anymore. Momentum is gathering for PHP 5, and we think supporting PHP 3 will lead to a waste of resources which we want to put into getting PHP 5 ready. Ofcourse PHP 4 will will continue to be supported for the forseeable future. We are sorry, but can not support PHP 3 related problems anymore. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2000-03-19 07:35:54] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Compiling PHP with ./configure --with-apache=/usr/src/apache_1.3.12 --with-gd=/usr/src/gd1.5 --with-sybase-ct=/export/home/sybase --with-mysql --enable-sysvshm=yes --enable-sysvsem=yes --enable-debug=no --enable-track-vars=yes --enable-short-tags=no --with-xml --with-mcrypt and apache 1.3.12 makes it unable to the apache server to die off childs (I have hanging keep-alive connections). This eventiually leads to a denial of service since no httpd is available to answer new requests. Downgrading to Apache 1.3.11 seems to solve this. I have no idea if this is a problem related to Apache or to PHP, but I hope someone here can solve it.
