From: vgass at gmx dot de Operating system: Linux (Debian) PHP version: 5.2.4 PHP Bug Type: PDO related Bug description: PDO_MYSQL no persistent but ide connections
Description: ------------ With an attempt to use PDO_MYSQL with PDO::ATTR_PERSISTENT => true I stated coincidentally that no persistent connections were used, but dozens idle "hanging" processes had remained open: one process for one call to "new PDO(...)"! As an ISP this is catastrophic and we are missing the possibility to disable persistant connections as with mySQL. (settings like "mysql.allow_persistent" and "mysql.max_persistent") mySQL: 4.0.25 Thanks for any help you can provide. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=42665&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 4.4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=trysnapshot44 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=trysnapshot52 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=42665&r=mysqlcfg
