 New Comment:

We are sorry, but can not support PHP 3 related problems anymore.
Momentum is gathering for PHP 5, and we think supporting PHP 3 will
lead to a waste of resources which we want to put into getting PHP 5
ready. Ofcourse PHP 4 will will continue to be supported for the
forseeable future.

When LDAP is compiled into PHP (NS-SDK v3.0), the phpinfo() function
causes the executing script to hang, and not return any additional
data. The phpinfo() works without problems when PHP is compiled
without LDAP support. This sounds like the same issue in bug report
#1227.

Configuration Information:

./configure \
        --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql \
        --with-oracle=/home/oracle/Oracle/product/8.0.5 \
        --with-xml --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf \
        --enable-track-vars \
        --with-apache=/usr/local/apache \
        --with-ldap=/usr/local/src/netscape-ldap-3
