So the problem is connected with running through apache. I confirmed this bug on ubuntu hardy. ondrej ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2008-12-08 22:31:07] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please try using this CVS snapshot: http://snaps.php.net/php5.2-latest.tar.gz For Windows: http://windows.php.net/snapshots/ And use this configure line: # ./configure --disable-all --disable-cgi --with-pcre-regex ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2008-12-08 19:04:21] svoboda at svoon dot net Description: ------------ this code: preg_replace('~[^\\pL0-9_]+~u', '-', $url); results in: Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: unknown property name after \P or \p at offset 4 in functions.inc.php in 5.2.6 version it works fine ondrej ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=46800&edit=1
