Thank you for your interest in PHP. please add at least `head configure` to your report regarding the "weird blank lines" i'm not sure what you are refering to ... configure is not meant to be human readable anyway, but from the blank lines i can see in configure non look "weird" to me ? BAD INTERPRETER message displayed at the beginning of configure script execution.
