Bug description: Mongo driver crashes complete system
Description:

$m = new Mongo("mongodb://dbuser:p...@localhost/");
produces a completely empty page, even when this is enclosed in a
try..catch..finally.
$m = new Mongo("mongodb://dbuser:p...@localhost");
opens the mongo db as expected
this uses the 1.0.4 Mongo driver on Debian Lenny 64 bit.

Expected result:
----------------
Either an exception or the same result as $m = new
Mongo("mongodb://dbuser:p...@localhost"); (opening the db)
