After installing PHP 4.2.3 as CGI under IIS / Windows XP, I can no
longer access my PHP scripts. Any scripts yields the message bellow.

I have tried for about 1 hour to modify the docroot, user_dir and
cgi.force_redirect settings in PHP.INI, in various ways, and reboot the
server to make sure the configuration was taken into account.

I have also searched the web - it seems that a lot of people have the
same problem, but I didn't found any working answer.

No combination of these variables worked. My scripts don't work, and I
can't do development work on the machine.

My request to you is to explain in the documentation exactly what I
have to do to make things work in such a situation.

Thank you!

The PHP error message follows.

--- Message yielded by all PHP scripts -----------------
Security Alert! The PHP CGI cannot be accessed directly.
This PHP CGI binary was compiled with force-cgi-redirect enabled. This
means that a page will only be served up if the REDIRECT_STATUS CGI
variable is set, e.g. via an Apache Action directive.

For more information as to why this behaviour exists, see the manual
page for CGI security.

For more information about changing this behaviour or re-enabling this
webserver, consult the installation file that came with this
distribution, or visit the manual page.
