This bug is reproducible with php version 5.2.17.
This version should be also patched.

This bug has been fixed in SVN.
Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at

Thanks for working on this. I am sorry that I can't currently test the
snapshot or patch as I am limited to working with ubuntu packages at the
moment. I may be able to eventually get some custom packages configured
and compiled, but that won't be for another month or two at least.
