From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Operating system: Linux 2.2.20 (Debian) PHP version: 4.2.3 PHP Bug Type: PHP options/info functions Bug description: max_execution_time ignored when waiting for open socket read
When PHP is waiting for a socket read the max_exection_time parameter is ignored. I was trying to use PHP scripts to monitor server response times but when there is a problem the script does not kill itself. It does not matter how I specify the max_execution_time. For instance like this: php4 -d max_execution_time 5 This behaviour was already in all previous versions I used. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=20819&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20819&r=isapi
