ID: 65671 Updated by: yohg...@php.net Reported by: krewecherl at gmail dot com Summary: Remove "experimental" status from six pg_* functions Status: Assigned Type: Bug Package: PostgreSQL related PHP Version: Irrelevant Assigned To: yohgaki Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: I have an idea about pg_insert/etc. I would like to make it more general by using escapes instead of validation for each types. It makes it possible to support various types including user defined types. I'll write a new RFC for this, hopefully soon. Ten years is too long for an experiment. The functions should either be removed from PHP, or moved to a PECL extension, or documented as safe to use. All of them perform useful tasks, so my personal preference would be the latter option. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=65671&edit=1
