This bug has been fixed in CVS. In case this was a PHP problem, snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/. In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites in short time. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better. Streams enforces safe mode for this operation, but it should be allowed to carry on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2003-02-02 11:12:50] [EMAIL PROTECTED] No clue what to document here and it still looks like a bug. If it's not a bug, it would be nice if a php-dev member explained this new behavior vs the old behavior as otherwise this will remain an open doc bug all through eternity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2003-01-28 06:42:05] m dot ford at lmu dot ac dot uk And, by the way, to [EMAIL PROTECTED]: your change to open_basedir can't have "taken", as the error message is still indicating it's just "." -- you did restart your Web server, didn't you? Cheers! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2003-01-28 06:39:29] m dot ford at lmu dot ac dot uk Sorry, Sniper, but I fail to see what #16128 has to do with this. That report complained that open_basedir was not being applied to the *destination* of a move_uploaded_file(); this one complains that it *is* being applied to the *source* of a move_uploaded_file() -- that is, the temporary copy of the uploaded file. There is no obvious (to me) good reason why the open_basedir restriction should be applied to the uploaded temp-file -- if there is, it should be documented so we know what it is. Cheers! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
