The function was present in the php_gd2.dll in the latest stable-snapshot, just download it and replace php_gd2.dll (you don't need to replace any other files). Appears to still be an issue as no one had documented it until now. GD2 extension *IS* enabled as other GD2 functions work correctly with no errors or warnings.
