Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to report a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php Because as of 4.3.2 the default Apache is based on apache2handler, which requires Apache version > 2.0.40 Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2003-05-29 13:13:42] cbair at dragonmagic dot net I tried to install PHP 4.3.2 on a Red Hat Linux 8 machine running Apache 2.0.40. It installed fine without compiling a shared module for Apache. I reconfigured it with apxs for Apache 2.0.40 and PHP reported that it requires Apache and apxs >= 2.0.40 (current is 2.0.46). Is there any reason why 4.3.1 will compile under 2.0.40 and 4.3.2 requires 2.0.44 or better? Or will we continue to have to step our Apache 2 versions to install future PHP versions? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=23875&edit=1
