I have a similar problem with apache2.0.46 and php 4.3.2 under redhat
9.0. When I do a ImagePNG() call, in error_log appears this:

[Wed Jun 04 10:02:45 2003] [notice] child pid 3640 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
[Wed Jun 04 10:02:45 2003] [notice] child pid 3663 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
[Wed Jun 04 10:02:45 2003] [notice] child pid 3664 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
[Wed Jun 04 10:02:45 2003] [notice] child pid 3665 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
[Wed Jun 04 10:02:45 2003] [notice] child pid 3667 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
[Wed Jun 04 10:02:45 2003] [notice] child pid 3668 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)

I'll do a gdb backtrace.
