Sterling, please explain this a bit better. (explain why it can't be
fixed and make this "Wont fix" then :)
This clearly is BC breakage at best..

it cannot be *correct* that it one time shows errors and the other time

You are right, its not fixed, but it is *correct* due to the way the

No errors with PHP 4.3.3RC2-dev but with latest PHP 5 CVS I do get
errors. Bug NOT fixed, sterling.. :)

I've got the newest CVS of PHP now, but this Bug still exists
-> I've tried the sample-code by "postings-php-bug at hans-spath dot
de" and I got the same output as before - with code1 no errors, code 2
produces them
