It is idiotic for php developers to flatly deny responsibility for a bug for which it is unknown whether php or phpMyAdmin is responsible. If open source software is going to overthrow alternatives (e.g. Microsoft) developers of both products need to work together to solve such problems, regardless of whether they are responsible for them or not.
