Just use the snapshots if you don't have working build environment.
Obviously it isn't libtool but something else.
If snapshots work fine -> definately not PHP bug.

If only libtool 1.4.3 is supported, then buildconf should not say that
libtool 1.5 is ok.
Now I installed libtool 1.4.3 and after running make install libphp5.so
is still missing in the cvs version.

4.3.3 gets compiled, and the 5 snapshots works, too.

Nevermind, snapshots work just fine, your build tools are broken, most
likely libtool 1.5 (we only support 1.4.3)
