no, i'm doing everything right. there are just too many bugs in the cgi part of php. i'll not accept such an answer without further research. why are you trying that? as i already said, it worked with the old version and it also works if i copy the old cgi dir into the new source tree, replacing the changed (and probably buggy) cgi code of the new version.
