From: phred at priest dot com Operating system: Linux SuSe 9.0 PHP version: 4.3.4 PHP Bug Type: Mail related Bug description: To-String is cutted at byte 2048
Description: ------------ In function mail($to, $subject, $body, $header): If string $to is bigger than 2048, it is cutted there.. When setting $to = "Harker Tetter<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Sarter Berker<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, ..." then it will be eventually cutted in between two < > so the mail won't be delivered. RFC says, that the maximum length of a line in a mail is 512 bytes so php should meet this RFC norm by cutting the to-string appropriatly. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=26706&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (php4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=trysnapshot4 Try a CVS snapshot (php5): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=trysnapshot5 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=26706&r=float
