i wrote <html>

</html>
and saved it as first.php
and excuted in intenet explorer but it is not excuting,WHY?
Expected result:

Hello world
Actual result:
--------------
its source code from notepad is coming.
nothing is excuting
but file is being saved as first.php.txt
