Corrected previous comment for clarity...

INFO:

Finally, managed to get it running; however, Zend Server and/or
Optimizer causes the "Apache will not start" to occur again. ?Curious
since PHP is built on the Zend engine?

Sorry...no 3rd party extensions loaded at ALL...use INI that distibutes
with package as is with MINOR exception - PATHS...deleted OLD
INI....BTW.

Again, PHP 4.3.4 works without exception.

You're doing something wrong, you're loading some 3rd party extension,
etc. It works fine with proper configuration.

PHP 4.3.4 works without errors on both systems.

Description:
------------
I'm running Apache 1.3.9 and PHP as a module. After I perform the
upgrade (as documented by PHP), Apache will not start.

On another web server I use that utilizes Apache 2.0.48, the exact same
thing occurs.

The php4ts files were present in the SAPI directory as well as the
SYSTEM32 directory.
