This is the same problem, with another solution http://dbforums.com/t865269.html (use older glibc). Is this php's fault? Looked in ChangeLog-2003 for your fix, there's no entry for it (4 august). There's an entry on 28 august, where php_sybase_ct.c was sync'ed with HEAD.
