Fine that it is fixed now but why was not even a changelog entry about
this problem.
I would appreciate a news post and an updated RC3 binary on the
downloads page to avoid others running into this problem.

php_mysqli.dll and libmysqli.dll are now both available via
snaps.php.net
Note that this supports mysql 4.1.2 alpha, as mentioned by Derick
earlier.
Extensibility is getting there :)
