I just thought a solution direct from the PHP dev's would be a safe and
well recieved feature. (Especially one that compatible with PHP 5 :)

We can not endorse other products that might cause incompatibilities
with other products. There are more Open Source accelerators than Turck
MM Cache (such as APC which you can install through PEAR). It's not
PHP's task to cache it internals, an external module for this does the
job just fine in this case.

MMCache is a great feature.  and whilst typing this... I reaise that
you've probably had this before :)  But why not build it in as an
option in later PHP releases.  You would make a lot of server admins
VERY happy.

Since turck's mmcache is open source... should be an easy job :)
