Same error on Tru64 4.0G. If I force definition of little endian with
a separate #define, it bypasses this one but fails on:
cc: Error: /usr/users3/sysop/build/php/php-4.3.10/Zend/zend_strtod.c,
line 246: Missing type specifier or type qualif
ier. (missingtype)
        ULong ul[2];

We can also give you an account for debugging if you like, thanks
sincerely.

Thank you Derick!

I'm experimenting with setting IEEE_BIG_ENDIAN manually right now (as
our system is a big-endian system) too see how that goes.

Glad to hear that you're working on it in a more general way. I'd be
happy to try a compile next week.

Best regards,
Björn

Incorrect, it should NOT be a comment.
Bjorn, I'm making a patch now to solve it in a more generic way. Will
send you a patch with this after the weekend.

I got this a similar installation to compile on AIX 5.2 by commenting
out the line "Exactly one of the ....." mentioned in the code snippet
in the original bug report. I'm not a programmer to me but it looks
like this should be a comment and not actually code.

Hope that helps,
Robin

Hi Derick!

Thanks for your reply!

I'm afraid I can't provide you wiht an account on the machine, but I'd
be very happy to try to do whatever else is possible to find what is
causing the bug. Feel free to e-mail me if this sounds OK.

Best regards,
Björn
