I tried this on Linux 2.4.20, and mac os x server 10.3. Both servers
have plenty of cpu and ram (linux: quad xeon 2.7 ghz, 2 gig of ram,
macosx: dual g5 2 ghz, 2 gig ram), both doing almost nothing at the
moment of the tests.
When we have a big session (~4 megs) under php 4.3.10, it takes up to
120 seconds to load the session with session_start.
./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-mysql=/usr
--with-xml --enable-versioning --with-zlib --enable-track-vars
--enable-trans-sid --disable-debug
Difference from php.ini-recommended :
